The folk ensemble Dúbrava was established in 1979 in Prešov. At present it has about 40-45 members in three independent parts. The repertory of ensemble is based on dances, songs and custom-word program from the Šariš and Zemlín region. The folk ensemble is able to prepare program from 10-90 minutes at present. Program consinst of dances, songs and music. The Šariš and the Zemplin region enables to draw themes also from minority regions for ensemble. That´s why there are dances of the Russniaks and the Ramanies in our program. The ensemble Dúbrava has visited except Europe also Asia and Africa during its 30 years acting. It took part n fetivals in Germany, Belgium, France, Israel. It also took part in Egypt, Portugal, Cyprus, in Russia and in other states of Europe. The folk ensemble Dúbrava has already contributed for 30 years to keeping folk traditions of our nation in our region.
